UK-headquartered transport engineering specialist Osprey Group has expanded and upgraded its Mansfield yard to meet the growing demand for heavy lift and SPMT projects.

Osprey added 1,000 sq m of paved space and reconfigured the layout, moving the offices to a dedicated area with its own parking and entrance. This has unlocked more room for project equipment and pre-deployment preparation; improves traffic flow; and reduces plant–pedestrian interaction.
This has been accompanied by new equipment, including Totalkare column lifts to support SPMT maintenance, a 16-tonne Hyster forklift and a Liebherr LR1130 crawler crane for loading components.
“For our clients, these improvements mean smoother mobilisation for complex heavy lift and SPMT scopes, greater flexibility to run multiple projects in parallel, and safer, more efficient operations that protect people, assets and schedules.”
HLPFI reported in October that Osprey had expanded its heavy lift fleet with the addition of an 800-tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 all-terrain crane.
