Curtis and Lees employs 18 staff and has been providing freight forwarding solutions and transport services to Irish industry for almost 100 years. The company provides project cargo services, as well as general freight forwarding, warehousing, logistics and distribution operations. 

Recently, the company has been involved in the disassembly of the lead and zinc processing plant at the Galmoy Mine in Kilkenny, Ireland and the subsequent delivery of the disassembled equipment to Darwin, Australia. 

The plant had to be cleaned to Australian standards before it was allowed leave the site. It then had to be moved from the site to a covered facility where it was painted before moving to the export quay. 

The longest item was 24m in length. The widest item was just over 6 m and the tallest item was also just over 6 m. The heaviest piece was 42 tonnes.
