April 17 saw deugro Houston host its inaugural annual trucker safety forum.
The event comprised representatives from Jetco Delivery, Palletized Trucking, Gulf Winds International, Bennett On-Site Services, Advanced Freight Dynamics, and deugro Houston’s department heads for a roundtable discussion that centred on all aspects related to safety.
Topics of discussion included changes in industry regulations impacting over-the-road movements, lessons learned from real-world incidents, and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in enhancing safety. The forum was moderated by Bradley Horton, QHSES advisor – North America, deugro. “The event fostered significant collaboration, offering valuable insights to all participants. It aligns with deugro North America’s ongoing commitment to prioritising safety in our daily operations,” he said.
Donald Catchings, head of global health, safety, environment and security, at deugro, added: “It was very refreshing and satisfying to see our service providers take down the competitive barrier and transparently share with one another their approach and the tools they use in managing safety and working toward the same common goal as deugro, keeping everyone 100 percent healthy and safe.”
