January 16 - From January 18, the European schedule of Streamlines' Blue Stream service will change; calling at Tilbury before Rotterdam.

The shipping company says this will result in the Blue Stream service calling at Tilbury on Wednesdays and Rotterdam on Thursdays, offering customers fast connections from Honduras and Guatemala into Rotterdam (14 days), and offering shorter transit times from Central America into the UK (13 days).

It adds that this service alteration will also provide customers with shorter westbound transit times into the French West Indian ports (11 days), Central American ports (17 days) and US ports (20 days).

Based and incorporated in Curaçao, and operating from its branch office in Antwerp, Streamlines' markets two weekly services from Europe to the Caribbean: one calling Rio Haina and the Dutch Caribbean islands of Aruba and Curaçao, then continuing to the west coast of South America; the other going further north to the Dutch/French island of St. Maarten/St. Martin, Guadeloupe and Martinique. All are able to handle high value project cargoes.

On the eastbound leg the company markets a direct weekly service from Colombia and Costa Rica to Europe.
