July 17 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) has reported a 17 percent year-on-year increase in tonnage carried across its global network in the first half of 2015.

The airline transported over 218,000 tonnes of cargo in the six months ended June 30, and achieved a load factor of 67 percent. The airline's tonnage in June was also up 16 percent year-on-year.

During the reporting period, ABC recorded a 26 percent growth in tonnage eastbound on its core trade lanes between Europe and China, and a 6 percent improvement in westbound traffic, despite weakening European imports.

ABC also expanded its presence on Europe-USA routes with additional B747 freighter services from Frankfurt to Chicago, as well as the launch of Los Angeles services. The airline transported over 20,280 tonnes of cargo from North America in the first six months of the year.
