April 3 - Ports Regulator of South Africa has approved tariffs for services and facilities offered by the Transnet National Port Authority for the trading period April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.

For ro-ro motor vehicles, export tariffs have been reduced by 21.1 percent. For other vehicular traffic (e.g. dozers, trucks, trailers), a decision will be made when the port authority clarifies its definition of "motor vehicles".
 
For container traffic, import tariffs have been reduced by 13.3 percent while export tariff have been slashed by 43.2 percent.
 
All other tariffs are to remain at 2012/13 levels.
