Germany’s Briese Chartering has bolstered its fleet with the delivery of the third newbuild in its OTECO 9000 series of 9,000 dwt vessels Eco Trophy.

The general cargo vessel is part of a 10-vessel order at China’s Dayang Offshore shipyard, with the first two ships – Eco Titan and Eco Trust – entering the fleet late last year. During November, Eco Titan started its maiden voyage, transporting wind turbine blades

The vessels measure 132.8 m long and 19.85 m wide. They feature an open deck area of more than 2,000 sq m.

The remaining vessels in the order Eco Treasure, Eco Trinity, Eco Triumph, Eco Marianne, Eco Cheyenne, Eco Tango and Eco Talent are scheduled for delivery this year.
