Universal in Paraguay transhipment

January 13 - Paraguay based project forwarder Universal Shipping Agency has transhipped a consignment of dismantled cranes in Nueva Palmira, destined for a shipyard in Asunci

The two gantry cranes were exported from China onboard the Rickmers-Linie vessel Warnow Sun to the Paraguay port, where Universal Shipping Agency coordinated the discharge of the shipment onto waiting barges.

According to Rudolfo Suttner, chartering department, Universal Shipping Agency, "Paraguay is booming". When handling cement, steel and project cargoes in the country "the most efficient way to tranship is via barges in Nueva Palmira", he added.
