January 12 - Van der Vlist has transported a 54-tonne excavator from its headquarters in Groot-Ammers in the Netherlands to Turkmenistan.

The machine, which had the dimensions 11.28 m x 3.45 m x 3.59 m, was transported by road to northern Germany, from where the cargo was shipped across the Baltic region.

Upon arrival in Russia, the excavator was moved to the rail terminal, where the tracks of the excavator had to be removed to reduce the height of the machine, before all parts were secured in place and delivered by rail into central Asia.

Once in Turkmenistan, the machine was re-assembled ready for work.
