November 2 - In Australia, Van der Vlist arranged the transport of 22 reach stackers that had been shipped in to Fremantle, Adelaide and Melbourne from Holland and Belgium.

The reach stackers (21 of which weighed 75 tonnes each and measured 14.8 m x 4.22 m x 4.78m, whilst one was slightly larger at 15.45 m x 4.27 m x 4.78m and 95 tonnes) were previously shipped without the boom, but following extensive route surveys, the boom was able to be left attached, saving costs on both shipping and road transport in the process.

The inland transport took between one and two days for each destination, and in many cases involved the lifting of cables on route. High value all risk insurance and customs was all pre-arranged to ensure a smooth arrival at each destination.
