Agility Norway adds air and oceanfreight services

August 25 - Agility is adding air and oceanfreight forwarding operations to the service portfolio offered by its branch in Norway.

This marks another important milestone of Agility's development in the European Nordics, following the acquisition of Oy O. Nyström & Co. AB in Finland and CF GeoLogistics A/S in Denmark, and the opening of fully owned offices in Oslo in the last 18 months.

According to a company statement, the set-up of air and ocean businesses leverages the synergies of combined freight across Norway for customers.

The set-up of Agility's own operating entity for all air and ocean business in Norway means that the previous arrangements via Bring Logistics have been terminated and all business is transferred back to Agility.

"Seen in the light of our growth strategy and the aim to strongly increase Agility's market share for all transport modes within Norway - air, ocean and road - the time is perfectly right", says Mats Nordin, managing director Agility Nordics. "We are confident that we will emerge as a stronger company from the current downturn."
