Courtney named ACS managing director

December 3 - Ruan Courtney has been promoted to managing director of global air charter broker, Air Charter Service (ACS).

Courtney replaces current managing director, Tony Bauckham, who will continue to work with the ACS for an additional year as joint-managing director, to provide council and smooth the transition to his successor.

"There comes a time when it is pertinent to hand over the reins to one's successor. ACS is at an exciting time in its global development to which I will continue to contribute," said Bauckham.

Commenting on the appointment, ACS's chairman and founder, Chris Leach, added: "Ruan has been with us since 1997 and has worked across almost every department in the company. He has the experience and knowledge necessary to carry on the great work Tony has been doing and I am confident that together with our new vice chairman, Justin Bowman, he can take the company to new heights."
