Global logistics provider Geodis has appointed Laura Ritchey as president and ceo of the Americas region.

Ritchey joins with upwards of 30 years of experience, including 15 years in supply chain management. Beginning her career in finance, she was most recently ceo at Radial, an e-commerce fulfilment solutions provider. Ritchey will succeed Mike Honious, who is retiring after 20 years with Geodis and will now serve in an advisory role to assist in the transition and will remain in director roles with the Geodis Foundation and Geodis Compassion Fund.

In her role, Ritchey will oversee the management and growth of the region’s business units across both North America and South America, including contract logistics, freight forwarding and transportation. She will lead around 20,000 Geodis employees across eight countries, consisting of the USA, Canada, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Argentina, Brazi and Mexico, where the company recently opened an office in Guadalajara.
