Damco appoints global marketing head

April 7 - Third party logistics provider Damco has appointed Christian Bech Hoengaard as global head of marketing at Damco International, based at corporate headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

He previously held positions at Scandlines and Clipper Group, where he ran the company's commercial tanker activities in the UK.

Hoengaard, pictured, is Danish and holds a master's degree in international marketing and management from Copenhagen Business School.

Damco offers a broad range of services to customers all over the world, with 9,500 employees in over 280 offices across 90 countries. In 2010, the company had a net turnover of over USD 2.7 billion.
