Singapore-headquartered specialised logistics service provider Bruhat Logistics has delivered oversized compressor units from the USA to India and transported a piling rig machine from Italy to the UAE.
For the transport of oversized compressor units, the project required a multimodal approach involving ro-ro vessels and containerised cargo.
To transport the cargoes to the terminal, Bruhat arranged lowbed trailers as well as out-of-gauge (OOG) permits and police escorts. At the port, both main units were loaded onto two 40 ft Mafi trailers, while the accessories were trucked to a container yard, stuffed, and prepared for export.
As well as managing Customs clearance for both ro-ro and container segments, Bruhat oversaw ocean freight and coordinated local handling upon arrival in India – where it managed import clearance and the final onsite delivery to the client.
Seperately, Bruhat also handled the end-to-end transportation of an 85-tonne piling rig machine from Italy to the UAE onboard a ro-ro vessel.
The specialised logistics provider started by collecting the cargo at its Italian origin, before arranging specialised trucks and police escorts for inland transit. A detailed cargo survey was conducted before carrying out export Customs clearance.
The main unit was self-propelled and loaded on the ro-ro vessel, with static accessories handled at the terminal using forklifts.
Bruhat is a member of the XLProjects network.
