Erickson sees Q2 gains

August 1 - Portland, Oregon, USA headquartered Erickson Air-Crane has issued its Q2 2013 performance results.

Q2 2013 revenues surged 81 percent year-on-year over Q2 2012 to USD69 million - primarily due to the acquisition of Evergreen Helicopters (EHI) during May 2013.

Erickson Air-Crane's revenues, excluding EHI operations, was up for the quarter year-on-year, driven by infrastructure construction and timber harvesting.

Udo Rieder, ceo of Erickson Air-Crane, commented: "We are very pleased with the strong financial results of the second quarter. We made tremendous operational and strategic progress in the quarter, across every aspect of our business."

Rieder continued: "As a result of the Evergreen Helicopters transaction, we are broadly diversified across aircraft type, customers, geography and range of mission capabilities.

"We are now well positioned to target a wide range of growth opportunities around the world and across many industries and end markets. We are very pleased with our results thus far this year and expect to see our performance accelerate as we move through the second half of 2013."
