GAC acquires Finnish ship agency

September 1 - The GAC Group says it has strengthened its presence in the Baltic Sea region with the acquisition of Finnish ship agent, John Nurminen Navis Oy.

JNN, now GAC- Nurminen Navis Oy, handles up to 3,000 ship calls at all major commercial seaports in Finland and has its own offices in Helsinki, as well as at Porvoo, Kotka, Turku, Naantali and Rauma.

 

Erland EbberstenGAC Group vice president, said: "JNN is strongly represented in key sectors such as oil tankers, chemical carriers, dry bulk, and cruise ships.

 

"These are all areas where GAC is strong globally, so this acquisition makes perfect sense to help us continue to thrive in the long term."
