Kässbohrer back 'home'

April 15 - 23 years after it ceased operations in the city, Kässbohrer has announced that it is re-establishing its presence in its once home town of Ulm, Germany.

Kässbohrer, which is one of the fastest growing semi-trailer manufacturers in Europe, recording a sales growth of 48 percent in its key markets in 2015, will establish a sales and after-sales centre, as well as an assembly workshop in Ulm.

From the new 7,600 sq m location, which is scheduled to open in the second half of 2016, Kässbohrer is planning to offer its full product range, as well as maintenance and servicing for every semi-trailer type in its portfolio.

The company's executive board member for business development, Iffet Türken said: "Ulm is where Kässbohrer's story was begun in its 'Wagenfabrik' back in 1893.

"We see this as an important step for our growth in Germany operations. With our deliveries starting from Ulm, we will get closer to our customer base not only in the south of the country, but also in the neighbouring countries, including Austria and the Czech Republic.
