Mammoet signs Samsung contracts

Heavy lifting and engineered transport specialist Mammoet has signed two contracts with Samsung Engineering (Thailand) for petrochemical projects in Map Ta Phut, Rayong Province.

The Propylene Oxide project will centre on the transport of heavy and oversized columns from Map Ta Phut deepsea port to Hemaraj Industrial Estate - a distance of 8 km - using hydraulic trailers from Mammoet’s fleet.

The second project, the Olefins Reconfiguration project (ORP), will also include heavy transport from the port to Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.

At the ORP site, Mammoet will deploy its PTC35DS ring crane to lift columns over a 7.5-m pipe-rack, avoiding the need to build a bridge over the top.
