Rickmers names trio of new agents

March 27 - Hamburg based heavy lift and project cargo transporter Rickmers-Linie is now serving Bangladesh and Sri Lanka with direct calls in Chittagong and Colombo, which has necessitated the appointment of new agents in the two countries.

At the end of last year, Rickmers-Linie announced that it had won a long term contract to transport fuselage sections for Airbus from Morehead City, USA to Montoir (Port of Nantes St Nazaire) in France.

The fuselage sections are designed for the Airbus A350 XWB series.

Taking advantage of these regular calls, Rickmers-Linie has now also appointed an agent in the Port of Nantes St Nazaire, Sogebras.

This company will seek to attract additional local cargo that could be loaded or discharged in Montoir.

In Bangladesh, the new agent is HSR Ocean Trades.

In Sri Lanka, the new agent is Diamond Shipping Services (Pvt) Ltd.

This company also has a branch office in Galle.
