UASC expands in South America

February 10 - United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) has appointed the Ultramar Group as its local liner shipping agency partner in Brazil, Argentina and Uruguay.

This news follows the announcement of UASC's long-term general cooperation agreement with the Hamburg Süd Group at the end of 2014.

Serving all major ports along the Brazilian east coast and the River Plate, UASC says its customers will now have access to an enhanced product offering for the east coast of South America.

Under the Hamburg Süd cooperation, UASC's services from North Europe to South America's east coast, and the Mediterranean to South America's east coast will commence in mid-April. The first sailing from Asia to South America is scheduled for the beginning of July.
