Uniport Bilbao names new president

July 30 - The new Board of Uniport Bilbao, the association/cluster for promotion and competitive improvement of the port of Bilbao, has appointed Gorka Ormaza Urtiaga as its new President.

Gorka Ormaza has over 20 years of experience in the marítime/port sector.

He is currently CEO of Bergé Maritime Bilbao, SL and replaces Oscar Santisteban, as president (seen below).

Uniport Bilbao is one of the cluster defined by the Basque Government to represent a strategic sector of the economy.

Made up of about 150 members, almost all private port companies, as well as institutions with responsibilities in the development of the port.
