June 3 - Bigge Crane & Rigging has taken delivery of a new Manitowoc MLC650 crawler crane.

The 650-tonne capacity MLC650 has a main boom length of 341 ft (103.9 m). It has the strongest load charts in its class, says Bigge, and has been designed to be transported easily by optimising component weight and dimensions.

The MLC650 crane features a variable position counterweight (VPC) that allows the crane's counterweight to be positioned automatically, while still offering versatility and capability, says Manitowoc Cranes.

In addition to the VPC, the optional VPC-MAX attachments increase the capacity, boom and jib combination lengths while utilising all of the standard VPC components, said the manufacturer.

This is the first Manitowoc MLC650 that Bigge has invested in.
