December 9 - Jumbo has signed a contract with Technip Oceania for the installation of 13 subsea structures for the Chevron-operated Wheatstone project in Western Australia.

The subsea installation project consists of pipeline termination structures (PTS), SSIV (subsea isolation valve) structures, tee protection structures (TPS) and drill centre manifolds. The manifolds, which will be installed at a maximum water depth of 240 m, weigh up to 564 tonnes.

Jumbo's heavy lift vessel Fairplayer will execute the works. It is equipped with two 900-tonne capacity revolving cranes and is expected to begin working offshore Western Australia in April/May 2015.

Natural gas will be developed from the Wheatstone site using a subsea gas gathering system, tied-back to the recently installed Wheatstone platform, from where gas will be exported to the onshore LNG facility through a dedicated trunkline. First gas production is expected in 2015.
