Ireland-based Allen Crane Hire has taken delivery of a Tadano AC 6.300-1, which has a 300-tonne lifting capacity.
“Our contact at Tadano, Ed Taylor, quickly convinced us of the fact that the AC 6.300-1 has the best price-performance ratio in its class,” said Robbie Allen, owner of Allen Crane Hire.
Allen Crane Hire’s primary business involves erecting and disassembling tower cranes. Therefore, the AC 6.300-1’s 80-m-long main boom paired with the six-axle unit’s compact design and ease of manoeuvrability made the AC 6.300-1 ideal for the company’s scope of work which often involves tight spaces at work sites.
“Above all, its lifting capacity at a radius of 50 m with a full 63 m luffing jib is simply fantastic for a 300-tonne crane and more than perfect for our needs,” added Allen.
The AC 6.300-1 has already been put to use by Allen Crane Hire as it dismantled an 80-m, 20-tonne tower crane at a work site in the north of Dublin.
Earlier this month, HLPFI reported that Tadano delivered two cranes to Germany’s Weiland Kran & Transport.
