Allcargo sets Indian record

May 15 - Allcargo Logistics has successfully loaded nine pieces of heavy and out-of-gauge cargo from Jawaharlal Nehru Port's shallow berth using its multipurpose vessel, Allcargo Susheela.

It is the first time that an Indian flagged vessel has moved multiple heavy lift cargoes in on go, claims Allcargo Logistics.

Allcargo Logistics' engineers carefully planned the loading process, using tandem lifts to lift the lighter pieces, followed by one single lift for the heaviest unit to ensure the entire consignment fit safely on board.

The consignment is destined for Bharat Petroleum's Cochin refinery and is scheduled for discharge at Cochin's Ernakulam port.
