CEA carries transformers across border

February 13 - CEA Projects has coordinated the transport of several transformers from Thailand's Laem Chabang port to the site of the Nam Ngiep 1 hydropower project in Laos.

CEA supplied prime movers and trailers, including one of its multi-axle hydraulic Kamag 25 modules, to transport the cargo over 1,260 km from Thailand, across the border 

Once complete the hydropower project is expected to produce 290 MW of power, of which more than 90 percent will be exported to Thailand.

The plant, which is located on the Nam Ngiep river in the central provinces of Bolikhamsai and Xaisomboun, will consist of a 148 m high main storage dam with a 67 sq km reservoir.

CEA Projects is a member of the Project Cargo Network (PCN) representing Thailand and Mongolia.
