FLS handles basket shipment

Dubai-based Fleet Line Shipping (FLS) has handled the transport of a pipe basket from the UAE to Karachi, Pakistan. 

The pipe basket measured 18.54 m x 1.43 m x 1.41 m and weighed 11 tons (9.9 tonnes). The unit was secured on a 40 ft flatrack container and loaded on a lowbed trailer in Abu Dhabi for onward transportation to Jebel Ali port. 

In cooperation with DP World Jebel Ali, the unit, secured on the flatrack container, was loaded on the container vessel Irenes Reliance using a gantry crane. 

In Karachi, FLS coordinated with Pakistan International Container Terminal (PICT) to offload the unit.

According to FLS, the transport operation from Abu Dhabi to Karachi port was completed in six days.
