Sims opens in Tallahassee

Sims Crane & Equipment is now open for business in Tallahassee at a location that will cater for the north Florida market.

The location includes a 3,000 sq ft (278.7 sq m) facility, currently undergoing upgrades, on a three acre (1.2 ha) site.

"Like many cities throughout Florida, Tallahassee is experiencing an increased rate of vertical construction," said Dean Sims II, Sims Crane vice president of marketing. "This vertical construction, coupled with projects in the power generation sector, made now the right time to establish a permanent location in Tallahassee."

The USA-based crane rental and rigging services company has appointed Kent Harvey as manager of the Tallahassee location.
