Bacon on top at Tacoma

December 18 - The Port of Tacoma commissioners have named Connie Bacon to lead the 2016 commission.

Bacon, who was first elected to the commission in 1997, succeeds Don Johnson as president. Johnson becomes second assistant secretary, while Dick Marzano was elected as vice president.

Don Meyer has been chosen as the commission's secretary, and Clare Petrich will become first assistant secretary.
