September 28 - BBC Chartering's heavy lift vessel BBC Louisiana has shipped four continuous catalyst regeneration (CCR) modules along the Northern Sea Route (NSR) for the Antipinsky refinery in Tyumen, Russia.

The modules were loaded onboard the vessel in the South Korean port of Mokpo, before being shipped to Novy Port on the east coast of the Yamal Peninsula, south of the Kara Sea.

Additional equipment and containers were also delivered onboard BBC Louisiana to Vladivostok, Russia for the same project.

BBC Chartering explained that it was cheaper to transport the additional equipment to the site by rail from Vladivostok, than hire an extra barge to ship the containers down the River Ob alongside the out-of-gauge units.

The four modules, which weighed up to 230 tonnes each, were discharged from BBC Louisiana at Novy Port bay and loaded onto barges for oncarriage down the River Ob to the refinery in western Siberia.
