Concert Group rebrands as XPO Global Logistics

November 6 - USA headquartered XPO Logistics has rebranded its international freight forwarding division, Concert Group Logistics (CGL), to XPO Global Logistics.

The move, says a company statement, is "to better reflect the role of freight forwarding within the company's broader service offering". XPO Global Logistics currently provides domestic and international freight forwarding services through 28 locations in the US and Canada; it also provides heavy lift and out-of-gauge transportation facilities.

XPO Logistics is also engaged in freight brokerage and expedited transportation. In its Q3 2013 financial results, XPO Logistics saw revenue grow by 173.3 percent year-on-year to USD194 million, however, the company reported a net loss for the trading period of USD6 million - up from USD3 million a year previously.
