Coordinadora carries crane

February 25 - Coodinadora Internacional de Cargas SA has transported a 412-tonne LHM 400 mobile harbour crane from Aragon Quay to Cantabria Quay within the Tarragona Port.

The transport was performed by a heavy lift vessel equipped with a ro-ro ramp, which was adapted to the crane's maximum longitudinal inclination of 2.86 degrees and transversal inclination of 1.15 degrees prior to the loading operation.

Coordinadora designed, prepared and supervised the construction of a reinforced concrete ramp on top of the existing ro-ro ramp at Aragon Quay to save the slope up to 4.92 degrees, while at Cantabria Quay a special wooden bed was prepared to negotiate a slope of 4.37 degrees.
