Emirates connects Ukraine

July 11 - Emirates Airlines has unveiled expansion plans for Eastern Europe with the launch of daily services between Dubai and Kiev, Ukraine, as of January 16, 2014.

An A340-500 aircraft will operate on the daily service to Kyiv Boryspil International airport.
 
Ukraine is currently the world's largest exported of sunflower oil and a major exporter of grain and sugar - according to Hubert Frach, divisional senior vice president commercial operations West: "We see strong potential in the Ukraine through its agribusiness, heavy machinery industries, technology, and tourism."
