June 3 - Volga-Dnepr Airlines has transported supplies and equipment for Japan's Ministry of Defense (JGSDF) from Sendai, Japan to the Republic of Djibouti as part of a major multinational action to address sea piracy off the coast of Somalia.
The airline operated two Antonov AN-124 flights to Djibouti delivering over 120 tonnes of equipment and vehicles destined to support Japanese defence forces deployed in the area of anti-piracy operations.
