May 16 - F.S. Mackenzie - the UK member of the FPS network of independent forwarders and NVOCCs - has named Lloyd Smith its managing director.

Smith previously served as a director of F.S Mackenzie. Since joining the company in 2005 he has played a key role in building up its air freight activities, based at London Heathrow International airport.
 

Smith replaces company founder and chairman, Alfred Stienen, who will now be responsible for projects and development for the entire group - F.S Mackenzie and FSM International.
 
Director Justin Keable, current manager of F.S Mackenzie's general forwarding division, has assumed responsibility for its Basildon, Essex headquarters - in addition the Liverpool and Midlands offices.
 
The Dover office, which operates European overland trailer and container services, will continue under the stewardship of Simon Mills.
 
Director John Smith Allen continues to manage LCL operations, assisted by Adam Gosling as import manager, who is responsible for inbound consolidation services.
