January 21 - AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC) - part of the Volga-Dnepr Group - achieved a 5 percent growth in cargo tonnage in 2013 with its highest ever volume of 340,000 tonnes.
The airline reported volume growth on all of its major routes, matched by a 5 percent improvement in revenue. ABC's freight tonne km (FTK) rose by 15 percent in 2013, while its average load factor of 72 percent showed a marginal 1.7 percent gain over 2012.
Despite challenging marketing conditions in 2013, ABC took delivery of two new generation Boeing 747-8F freighters, bringing its total number of 747-8Fs to five and completing its fleet renewal plan which began two years ago.
