HLPFI reviews the finalists for the 2025 Project Logistics Provider of the Year award, sponsored by AAL Shipping.

This award will be presented to a logistics provider of any size that has developed its project cargo services to adapt to new market opportunities and challenges, as well as customer demands. The judges looked for evidence of how this development, supported by technical capability and safety standards, drove success and set the company apart over the past year.

One of our judges noted the “strong evidence of strategic transformation, deep client focus, market adaptability, and a proactive safety and environmental stance”.

Dubai-based Blue Bell Shipping (BBS) generated revenues more than three times its historical average in 2024 and double the previous year’s total. The company continues to bolster its international footprint with offices across the USA, UK, Australia, the Middle East and Asia.

In addition to tansitioning from general forwarding to a project logistics specialist, BBS is implementing AI-based invoicing and document control systems. One of our judges for this category noted BBS’s “strong evidence of strategic transformation, deep client focus, market adaptability, and a proactive safety and environmental stance”.

Over the past year DHL Industrial Projects has established a dedicated ro-ro special cargo desk to supplement its established heavy lift and breakbulk services.

Commended by the judges for its international footprint, sector expansion, and comprehensive presentation on strategy and DEI, DHL Industrial Projects highlighted recent projects and initiatives. Identified as a core growth driver within DHL Group, particularly in New Energy, DHL Industrial Projects is supporting the group’s wider ambitions for sustainable development and market leadership.

The company continues to expand its team of project logistics and industry vertical specialists and established a dedicated ro-ro special cargo desk to supplement its established heavy lift and breakbulk services, while reporting a 20 percent increase in fixtures and volumes.

Liburnia has grown from a local port agency with just two employees to one of Croatia’s largest project forwarders with over 100 staff and counting.

Liburnia was applauded by our judging panel for its growth, evolving from a local port agency with just two employees to one of Croatia’s largest project forwarders with over 100 staff and counting.

The firm is ratcheting up its global presence with offices in locations such as the Netherlands (2018) and Poland (2023). As well as an outstanding safety record, Liburnia is continuing to expand both in terms of locations and in equipment to serve the project logistics sector.

Prism Logistics moved over 350,000 freight tons of cargo worldwide during 2024.

Selecting three key projects – IOCL-Panipat, IOCL-Barauni, and PGCIL-Subhasgram – that it worked on during 2024, Prism Logistics detailed how it had moved upwards of 350,000 freight tons of cargo worldwide in the past year.

Our judges highlighted the extensive use of heavy lift equipment in its operations, many of which are delivered as turnkey projects.
