The Istanbul office is the company’s 17th branch in the country. Umut Yüksel, whose experience in the logistics sector includes roles at DB Schenker and DSV, will lead the business there as managing director of Aprojects Turkey, joined by a locally experienced team.

He said: “Our city has an extensive network of transport infrastructure. In addition to our seaport, both the airport and our road and rail network are ideal to provide even better support to Aprojects’ customers.”

Yoeri Torfs, ceo of Aprojects, added:  “The opening of our new office is another milestone for our company and at the same time a well-considered choice in our growth strategy. Istanbul’s geographical position makes it an ideal central hub for us to provide even better support to our customers from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.”
