Blue Water Shipping has finalised the lease for a new office and warehouse facility in Rotterdam, which should open in the first quarter of 2024. The 6,500 sq m facility will have 4,500 sq m dedicated to warehousing with the remainder reserved for office space.
A key driver behind this expansion is the increase in logistics services for the cruise and marine sectors. In addition, Blue Water’s energy, ports and projects team has experienced strong growth, having grown from four to 10 employees.
Hans Poiesz, managing director of Blue Water Holland for the past 40 years, said: “This new office space is a testament to the growth we’ve witnessed in recent years. Our current premises can no longer accommodate our needs, especially as we have increased our activities. With just 500 sq m of office space and 1,800 sq m of warehouse space in our current setup, it will be interesting to utilise our new location and accommodate the company’s future growth plans.”
