The UK’s port of Tyne has appointed Charlotte Brown as chief commercial officer

Brown brings over 20 years of experience in the energy, maritime, engineering and technology sectors to her role at the port. She has held a range of commercial roles at companies including Honeywell, Fujitsu, and DNV. Brown was most recently employed as sector director for energy at international analytics and data science consulting services company Cap Gemini Group.  

Port of Tyne ceo, Matt Beeton, said: “Charlotte is a fantastic addition to the port’s leadership team, and we are delighted to have her on board. Charlotte’s extensive experience across the technology and energy sectors will be invaluable in supporting the port to grow and achieve our Tyne 2050 objectives.”

Brown commented: “It is a really exciting time to be joining the port and the Tyne 2050 journey towards being a world leader in collaboration, innovation with sustainability at our core. I have been lucky to work in organisations across a range of maturity levels and I am looking forward to bringing together my extensive commercial and technological experience to cement the port in leading the way in its sector and beyond.”
