Capes Shipping Agencies, a subsidiary of freight forwarder and Customs broker CV International, has opened two offices – one in Corpus Christi, Texas, and another in Mobile, Alabama.
These two locations add to the company’s recently opened office in Houston, Texas, with Capes ultimately looking to reaffirm its presence on the US Gulf Coast.
Capes’ Houston operations is led by Rodell Duff, who has more than 13 years of experience in the maritime industry. Gilbert Ortega, with more than 23 years of experience, has assumed the role of port manager for Capes’ Corpus Christi operations, while Jennings Lawler is in the same position at the Mobile site.

These offices add to Capes’ 2024 expansion into New Orleans, Louisiana, where its team serves ports along the Lower Mississippi River.
