Roll Group has appointed Peter Rondhuis as group ceo, effective January 1, 2021. He will succeed Adriaan Aarts who will join the company’s supervisory board.
Rondhuis joined Roll Group and chief commercial officer in 2019. Prior to that he held a variety of management positions within the shipping industry, including a long period as managing director at a subsidiary of A.P. Møller - Mærsk.
Rondhuis and Martine Kok, chief financial officer, will form the board of Roll Group.
As a result of the restructuring, Paul Könst, chief operating officer, will leave the organisation.
Rondhuis commented: “Somewhat later than expected, we see that the market improves and that our orderbook is filling up rapidly for the years to come. Especially, mid-2021 onwards looks very promising! Within the last months, Roll Group has secured two factory-to-foundation orders, whereby we take care of the sea and land transportation with our own vessels and land equipment.”
