Court appoints Hansa Heavy Lift administrator

The Hamburg District Court has appointed Dr. Christoph Morgen as preliminary insolvency administrator for Hansa Heavy Lift.

HLPFI reported on December 10, 2018, that Hansa Heavy Lift filed for insolvency. The carrier’s parent company, Oaktree Capital Management, said that due to ongoing structural challenges in the heavy lift shipping sector, it would not make any additional capital investments in the business.
