Della Shaw wins the CubeMasterTM challenge

June 7 - Della Shaw, from UK logistics company, Wincanton became the CubeMaster champion after winning the "Take the CubeMaster Challenge" at the recent Multimodal 2012 Exhibition.

Della, pictured below right, correctly answered one of the industry's often asked questions "how many of these cartons will fit into a container?" Della was presented with her hamper prize by Rob Boreham, director Quorate Consulting Ltd.

Visitors to the Quorate stand were invited to enter the competition and then see how this and other cargo loading calculations can be made using CubeMaster Optimisation software. Many took the challenge very seriously, with much deliberation, calculation and calls to their shipping offices.

Quorate presented Della with her prize at Wincanton's office in Worksop.

Boreham said: "We received a lot of interest in our cargo loading and packaging design software. In 2012 I believe that it is essential for all businesses to review their profitability and using leading edge logistics software is certainly one of the keys to this".
