November 2 - DSV's Air & Sea division has posted a 51 percent year-on-year increase in sea freight volumes for the first nine months of 2016, along with an 84 percent increase in airfreight volumes, when compared with the same period last year.

The growth for the period is mainly attributable to DSV's acquisition of UTi, which was completed at the beginning of this year.

DSV Air & Sea's net revenue for the first nine months totalled DKK23.7 billion (USD3.5 billion), compared to DKK16.5 billion (USD2.4 billion) in the same period of 2015. This growth is despite revenues being negatively affected by low freight rates and exchange rates.

Meanwhile, the DSV division posted gross profit of DKK6.3 billion (USD941 million) for the first nine months of the year, compared with DKK3.9 billion (USD582 million) in the same period of 2015.
