Falcon Maritime India, a subsidiary of New York-based Falcon Maritime and Aviation, has merged its operations with Tiger Logistics India.

The new entity, which will operate as Tiger-Falcon Logistics, will benefit from the combined knowledge and experience of Tiger and Falcon, while creating a larger international footprint for both companies.

"The Indian market has grown exponentially, and if we are going to continue to grow alongside this exciting market, we believe that our best bet is with a strong local partner," explained Richard Shelala, president of Falcon Maritime and Aviation.

"We are very excited about this new partnership," said Harpreet Singh, managing director of Tiger. "We now not only have a strong market position in India, but this merger allows for us to truly explore all of the potential in the Arabian Peninsula, Latin America, and Europe. Our priority right now is a smooth and fast integration of our organisations."

Tiger-Falcon Logistics will provide specialised solutions for international trade, working closely with clients to develop bespoke transportation solutions around their needs.

Under the merger, Tiger, which provides airfreight, ocean freight and project logistics services, will incorporate Falcon offices and personnel into its existing network.
