Trailer manufacturer Faymonville Group will acquire a majority stake in Turin, Italy-based Morello, allowing it to expand its range of self-propelled trailer systems.

Morello specialises in battery-driven heavy-duty trailers, particularly for use in industrial plant. By acquiring the company, Faymonville said it broadens its portfolio of self-propelled transporters for lighter load classes. Combined with Cometto’s existing Eco500 and Eco1000 series, the addition of Morello enables the group to offer a comprehensive range of transport solutions across this segment.
“This strategic acquisition significantly enhances our market position and reinforces our role as a comprehensive provider for specialised transport solutions,” said Alexander Fickers, ceo of Faymonville Group.
Morello’s vehicles serve a wide array of industries, including rail, steel, energy, nuclear and defence. Morello’s battery-powered electric drive systems also align with Faymonville’s strategy of meeting growing demand for emission-free and low-noise operations.
In July, HLPFI reported that Faymonville had revamped its online platform for immediately available trailers, SpecialTrailers24, having also broken ground at its maiden USA production facility, in Arkansas.
