Following a growing demand for logistics solutions in Uzbekistan, Swiss freight forwarder Gebrüder Weiss has upgraded its former representative office in the country’s capital, Tashkent.
“Many companies in Uzbekistan are facing the challenge of making their supply chains more reliable and internationally competitive. With our expanded range of services, we can support them in a targeted manner,” said Kamil Ernazarov, country manager Uzbekistan at Gebrüder Weiss.

Industry, agriculture and foreign trade are all on the rise in Uzbekistan, with reforms and tax incentives making the country increasingly appealing to foreign investors. With this, demand for high-level logistics and transport solutions are paramount.
Along with the likes of Armenia, Kazakhstan, China, Türkiye and Georgia, Gebrüder Weiss is looking to Uzbekistan as somewhere to bolster Eurasian land routes – having extended its logistics terminal in Tbilisi in 2024 as well as acquiring a majority stake in Istanbul-based Sienzi Lojistik last year.
The company presently employs four people in the country and offers land, air, sea and rail freight transport services.
In August, Gebrüder Weiss established a country organisation in the Philippines.
