Hapag-Lloyd bundles niche activities

Container shipping line Hapag-Lloyd has grouped its reefer and breakbulk/out-of-gauge activities into one department – niche products.

Sarah Schlueter will oversee the non-standard activities in her role as senior director, niche products. She joined the company on March 16 from Hamburg-based CargoSphere – WiseTech Global Group.

Schlueter has international experience within the shipping and logistics industry, starting her career with Maersk in 2003. She joined UASC in 2013 and from 2015 to 2018, worked for Kuehne + Nagel, where she was responsible for global transformation programmes.

She will report to Juan Carlos Duk, managing director, global commercial development.

Hapag-Lloyd’s dangerous goods activities will remain a separate department that is overseen by chief operating officer Maximilian Rothkopf.
